The CMS Communication team would like to invite everyone to help us using images to promote and communicate science. Images help us learn, images grab attention, images explain concepts, and inspire. Experimenting is in the DNA of all members of the CMS collaboration. We would like to invite you to experiment with your cameras and try to look at your every day work from another, more visual, perspective.
The Long Shutdown 2 (LS2) and R&D works for the Phase 2 upgrade are exceptional opportunities to showcase the variety of activities at the CMS Collaboration; the work and development being done at CERN and in the CMS research institutes worldwide, as well as at the experiment site in Point 5. Stop for a few seconds and take a picture of what may look like ordinary to you. Send this picture to us, together with a caption, and let us do the rest :)

If you feel you are not ready to take a good picture or you would like to refresh your knowledge, we invite you to the photography workshop that we are organising in partnership with the CERN Photo Club. Two sessions have been scheduled for you:

Bring your camera and come to meet a photo expert from the CERN Photos Club, Andrea Musso. He will be happy to show you how to set up your camera to capture stunning photos from your lab, office or the CMS cavern.
